Water conservation
I am a United Nations water week UK ambassador and the United Nations Champion for SDG 6 (clean water and sanitation). I am also a youth ambassador for global water charity Frank Water.
In my recent documentary, ‘Are we running out of water?‘ aired on SKY KIDS, I show how the current state of water crisis and conservation efforts, globally are affecting children in particular.
I have joined forces with over 20,000 UK citizens including Deborah Meaden, Chris Packham, Bear Grylls and leading environmental organisations such as WWF, RSPB, Keep Britain Tidy, National Trust, and Soil association, to ensure we all have clean and safe water in the UK at March for Clean Water.
At the UN Water Week UK network reception, as a Youth Ambassador of the program, I called on families or individuals, people who are leading agricultural business and other industries, water companies and the UK government to take urgent steps and work together to ensure the supply of safe and clean water for now and the future.
Caroline Petit, Deputy Director of the United Nations Regional Information Centre (UNRIC) said, “We have the roadmap with the Sustainable Development Goals. So let us take action and protect, sustainably manage and ensure equitable access to water for all. Progress depends on our actions, not on our words.”
The UN Water Week UK is part of a global environmental education campaign for children and young people, that is delivered in alignment with goals of the UN-Water 2030 Strategy as part of the United Nations Water Action Decade. The initiative aims to bolster the efforts of the UN Water Action Decade by bringing together representatives from the United Nations, NGOs, industry leaders, policymakers and organisations from the film, media, and entertainment industry to inform, inspire and empower children and young people to take action around global water challenges including those we face in the UK.
As an SDG 6 champion, I campaign in key issues for access to clean water and sanitation for all. That includes how we prevent water pollution in our rivers, oceans and streams.

Frank Water is a global water charity on a mission to alleviate global water poverty, enhance health, and protect the natural environment by improving the way that people understand and use water to encourage global water security. It has provided safe water, sanitation and good hygiene to 513,229 people across 747 communities in India and Nepal.
