Campaigns
My understanding of the world’s biggest problems has come from my parents, my family, from first-hand experiences and from interacting with people affected by these issues. I always feel that because the problems are so big and unimaginable, we all can team up and do little things together to overcome these.
So, I am doing small things in my own way to solve these problems and encouraging and engaging others too with one hope, that together we all can bring the changes we need.
UN SDGs in national curriculum
I have advocated for the incorporation of the UN Global Goals in UK’s Sustainability and Climate Change Education Policy that is currently impacting 16 million children in the UK.
#BOOKS4OURFUTURE
I launched this global campaign to ensure 400 M books, worldwide, every year, are saved from landfills, donated, read and re-read. This won’t just support good causes across the world but also spare our environment of millions of tons of carbon emissions every year.
Climate anxiety
I use my public standing to help children as young as 4 to overcome climate anxiety, online, at school, the local community and through my extended network in the UK and aboard.
#MICROPLASTICFREE2030
I am volunteering to educate 1B children and their families worldwide, to combat microplastic pollution by 2030.
UNICEF UK rights respecting schools campaign
Barely 20% of UK’s schools are UN Rights respecting. Starting my own school, I am using my public presence and platforms to influence other schools across the UK to join UNICEF UK’s rights respecting schools program. This is enlightening thousands of other children about their rights and their schools to be champions of children’s rights.
UN Water Week UK
As sustainability advocate and broadcaster I was appointed as the UN Water week UK ambassador to help educate and inspire young people about water conservation. I have also joined forces with over 20,000 UK citizens including Deborah Meaden, Chris Packham, Bear Grylls and leading environmental organisations such as WWF, RSPB, Keep Britain Tidy, National Trust, and Soil association, to ensure we all have clean and safe water in the UK at March for Clean Water.
Fundraising for children’s welfare
I have given up my birthday gifts to raise funds for vulnerable children in danger across the world and I am also encouraging as many people I can, to do the same.
